Charcoal (activated)

What It Is: Activated charcoal is a potent, odorless, and tasteless detoxification agent that is well tolerated and has the unique ability to absorb a wide variety of toxic substances onto its broad surface area.

Useful For: Diarrhea, general nausea, nausea due to detoxification, removing oral and intestinal toxins due to infections from viruses and other microbes, and helping to remove toxins deposited in the gut from any detoxification program.*

How It Works: By binding toxins.

What To Look For: Make sure the charcoal you choose is in capsule form, rather than tablet. To make tablets, fillers must be used along with the charcoal, resulting in lessened absorption ability.
